Sorry for not updating in too long of a time.   Thought I’d let you guys know that the metal stuff is finally coming to fruition.  The lineup is consisting of me on guitar,  Jesse Kopala on guitar,  Josh Nickerson on drums,  Leo Mulrooney on bass and Mr.  Wes Chitwood on vox.

We shall work on getting recordings up soon,   I figure what we’ll do is continue to practice with Josh as much as possible to get him totally familiar with the songs so we can record his drums first,  then Jess & I will do guitars and Leo will do bass and finally Wes will throw on his vox.

In other news,  Josh, Wes & I have been working on an acoustic project,  We call it Pitseleh version 2.   Just kidding.   We call it The Sinful, we’ve got 3 or 4 songs written.

That’s all for now,  I’ll start updating more.

Haven’t updated in a couple days.  I’m not on the computer very much and when i am it’s usually to look up a guitar tab or check my e-mail.   I’ll start trying to update daily though.   Since the last post we’ve had a couple more Pitseleh practices.  We’ve got this new song that came about because Jess was noodling around with these chords and they sounded great and Devo had these lyrics that were really amazing,  put 2 and 2 together and you’ve got a great song.   In the practices Jess has been singing it with Devo,  I don’t know if when we record it if we’ll have both of them singing on it or just Devo.

They’ve both been singing  the lead on a song I wrote called Promise Ring.  The other songs I’ve written on this album that deal with love are more on the losing it kind of spectrum so I wanted to write a song for Jess & Devo to sing that shows that love can be a wonderful thing.

I don’t know when we’ll begin recording but we want to get around 4 songs recorded to have as a demo of sorts before Devo goes to Camrose.

Got a bit of a jam in with the rest of Pitseleh today.   I was feeling really really weird,  I ran out of my prescription about a week ago so the meds have been out of my system for a few days now.  Emotionally I was alright but physically I felt like hell.  I had no inspiration to work on any of the songs,  I just wanted to pass out.

I thought I’d just go the rest of the day without playing any guitar.   Couldn’t do it.   Started playing some acoustic versions of songs by the cure and now I’m working on a new song I wrote the lyrics to awhile ago.   The song that has the “Through the darkness you illuminate with never ending grace” line.    It’s a really basic song musically,  4 chords.

The past 2 days have been the first practices with Devonn,  she really brings a lot of new life to the songs.   It’s really cool to be able to work on songs that her and/or Jess have written.   Jess wrote the music to this brilliant song that has an awesome finger picking pattern to it.  It sounds reminiscent of The Shins or Simon & Garfunkel.   Devonn wrote this hauntingly beautiful piano melody in C Minor,  I didn’t know what to play on it because I didn’t want to draw any attention away from the hook,  so I wrote a bass line for it and I think that Jess is playing the implied chords on the ol’ acoustic.
